Papertrade Take Profit

Thesis

Locks in gains on your Papertrade BTC long by closing it automatically once it is up a set dollar amount.

Strategy

• Profit target: Checks the BTC price every 5 seconds and closes the long once its profit after the 2% win fee reaches $5 (adjustable). • No new trades: It only closes BTC longs already open in your Papertrade account and never opens positions.

Exposure

• Holds: Your open BTC long — The BTC long you opened yourself stays as it is until the profit target is hit. • Venue: Papertrade — Your position and USDC stay in your Papertrade account; open the BTC long yourself first. • Leverage: What you chose — It uses whatever leverage you opened with and adds none. • Costs: Close fees — Papertrade's 2% fee on winnings and a small price-impact cost when closing. • Data: Circuit — BTC price halfway between buying and selling prices on Hyperliquid. • On unwind: USDC on Papertrade — Your margin plus profit returns as USDC in your Papertrade balance.
