ETH Funding Long

Long ETH on negative funding

How it works

Thesis

Goes long ETH perpetuals during negative funding and exits when funding becomes positive.

Strategy

• Entry: It makes at most one entry per observed negative-funding episode when projected funding over 24 hours exceeds fees and price tolerance. • Exit: It exits when the predicted next hourly funding becomes positive, checking every five minutes. • Sizing: Entry notional is capped at 5% of allocated USDC, with a fee reserve and a daily-volume limit, and no top-ups.

Exposure

• Holds: ETH perp long — A Hyperliquid ETH long funded with allocated HyperCore USDC. • Venue: Hyperliquid — Terminal handles funding and activation; it runs until stopped. • Leverage: None — Entry notional is capped at 5% of allocated USDC; the sizing cap is not a guaranteed loss limit. • Costs: Fees and slippage — Two assumed 0.05% taker fees and two 0.1% price tolerances per round trip. • Data: Circuit — It uses only Circuit data. • On unwind: ETH exposure closes — Stopping attempts to close all session ETH exposure once and reports incomplete closes as failures.
