Adaptive Perp Grid

Selective two-way grid

How it works

Thesis

A cost-aware, single-market long/short perpetual grid with a 1× allocation-relative notional ceiling; profitability is unproven.

Strategy

• Ranging screen: It screens seven markets for ranging conditions, including a configurable 24-hour trend-efficiency ceiling. • Grid entries: New exposure requires a closed five-minute reversal, a valid grid band, and enough expected price distance after fees and funding. • Loss thresholds: The 3% warning and 5% exit-and-end thresholds measure open-position unrealized loss against current allocation.

Exposure

• Holds: One perp grid — Long or short perpetual inventory in one ranging market, backed by allocated USDC. • Venue: Hyperliquid — Uses bounded immediate-or-cancel orders; retain the $1,000 dedicated-wallet pilot rather than scaling to recover losses. • Leverage: Up to 1x — A 1× allocation-relative notional ceiling. • Costs: Fees and funding — Account fees, execution allowances and adverse funding; gaps, fees and funding can produce losses beyond the thresholds. • Data: Hyperliquid API — api.hyperliquid.xyz for depth and account fees absent from Circuit data, and closed candles when Circuit candles are stale. • On unwind: Positions closed — Stopping attempts to close all session positions.
