ETH Negative Funding

Long ETH on negative funding

How it works

Thesis

Goes long ETH perpetuals during negative predicted funding and closes when predicted funding becomes positive.

Strategy

• Entry: Entry requires current funding projected over a configurable horizon to exceed estimated round-trip fees and price tolerance. • Exit: It closes when predicted funding becomes positive, and positive funding exits bypass the cost gate. • Sizing: Entry notional defaults to 5% of allocated USDC and is capped by daily trading volume, with no top-ups.

Exposure

• Holds: ETH perp long — One long ETH perpetual during negative funding, using only its session allocation. • Venue: Hyperliquid — An autonomous Hyperliquid strategy; fund and activate it through Terminal. • Leverage: None — Entry notional is a percentage of allocated USDC with no exposure multiplier. • Costs: Fees and slippage — Estimated taker fees and IOC price tolerance per side; ETH price losses and fees can outweigh funding income. • Data: Circuit — Uses Circuit's funding, market and midpoint data. • On unwind: ETH long closed — Stopping attempts to close the entire session position once.
