Two-Bucket Stock Momentum

Stock leaders in two groups

How it works

Thesis

US stock momentum leaders can keep rising; separate hardware and other-stock groups keep both kinds of leaders in the portfolio.

Strategy

• Leaders: At 06:45 Pacific on US trading days, rank the monthly top-30 liquid allowed stocks by volatility-adjusted 21-, 63- and 126-day momentum. • Sizing: Hold two per group with inverse-volatility weights capped at 35%; halve targets when SP500 is below its 100-day average and breadth is below 40%. • Exits: Sell outside the top four; use 12% stops and resize above 25% drift, skipping subminimum orders and closing reductions that would leave dust.

Exposure

• Holds: US stock perps, USDC — Two hardware leaders and two other-stock leaders by default, with USDC as collateral. • Venue: Hyperliquid xyz — Trades only the named stock list and holds collateral on HyperCore; exchange leverage settings are unchanged. • Leverage: 0.25x to 3x — Target multiplier defaults to 1x; total exposure defaults to a separate 1x ceiling and each market's cap applies. • Costs: Trading fees, funding — Stock perpetual orders pay venue trading fees and ongoing funding. • Data: Circuit — Daily stock and SP500 candles, market open interest, market leverage caps and executable price bounds. • On unwind: USDC — Terminal cancels remaining orders and closes stock positions after stopping; pressing stop alone does not close holdings.
