Oil Over Stocks

Buys rising oil as stocks weaken

How it works

Thesis

Buys rising crude oil when the S&P 500 falls, aiming to profit from oil strength during stock-market weakness.

Strategy

• Oil up, stocks down: Checks hourly and buys WTI crude oil when its 24-hour return is positive and the S&P 500's is negative. • One oil position: Sizes one long to the allocated USDC balance at entry, raising small orders to Hyperliquid's $10 minimum. • Hold: Keeps the oil position until you stop the agent, without adding to an existing long or shorting stocks.

Exposure

• Holds: Oil and USDC — WTI crude-oil perpetuals and USDC; USDC alone before the buy condition occurs. • Venue: Hyperliquid — Trades the XYZ crude-oil market with USDC collateral on Hyperliquid. • Leverage: 1x target — Oil exposure equals the allocated USDC at entry, subject to the $10 order minimum. • Costs: Fees and funding — Pays Hyperliquid trading fees and ongoing funding payments or receives funding. • Data: Circuit — Uses XYZ crude-oil and S&P 500 perpetual prices and their 24-hour reference prices. • On unwind: USDC — Closes the crude-oil position and leaves USDC on Hyperliquid.
