BTC Maker Grid

Thesis

Earns BTC's back-and-forth swings by buying a little below and selling a little above the price, using only cheaper resting orders.

Strategy

• Grid: Keeps 3 resting buys and 3 resting sells around BTC, each 0.2% apart, and re-centres them whenever one fills. • Sizing: Each order is the allocation times 3 split over the 6 orders, at least $11 each. • Exits: A sell above reduces a long and a buy below reduces a short, so profits come from each completed swing.

Exposure

• Holds: USDC and BTC position — A long or short BTC position that grows as orders on one side fill. • Venue: Hyperliquid perps — Funds stay in your Hyperliquid account as USDC. • Leverage: 3x by default — The whole grid can reach the allocation times the leverage setting. • Costs: Maker fees, funding — 0.015% per fill plus hourly funding on the open position. • Data: Circuit — BTC prices from Circuit. • On unwind: USDC — Cancel the resting orders and close the BTC position to get USDC back.
