Paper Trailing Stop

Trailing stop for Papertrade

How it works

Thesis

Protects open Papertrade positions by closing each one once its value drops 20% from its best level, locking in gains as it rises.

Strategy

• Trailing stop: Every 10 seconds it values each open Papertrade position as margin plus profit or loss and remembers its best value. • Exit: When a position's value falls 20% below that best value, it closes the whole position at market. • No new trades: It never opens positions; it only closes the ones already in your Papertrade account.

Exposure

• Holds: Your open positions — The BTC or ETH Papertrade positions already in the wallet you start it on. • Venue: Papertrade — Positions stay in your own Papertrade account; start it on the wallet that holds them. • Leverage: As you opened them — It adds no leverage and keeps whatever your positions already use. • Costs: Papertrade close fees — Winning closes pay Papertrade's 2% fee and haircut; losing closes pay nothing extra. • Data: Circuit — BTC and ETH prices come from Circuit's Hyperliquid prices. • On unwind: USDC on Papertrade — Closed positions return their remaining margin and any profit as Papertrade USDC.
